Savoca

Gole Alcantara

Vulcano Etna

Taormina is "the Pearl of the Mediterranean".

Suspended between the rocks and the sea, Taormina, thanks to its natural beauty, its splendid view of Mount Etna and the bay of Isola Bella, is the ultimate fashionable destination in Sicily.

Today Taormina attracts thousands of visitors from all over the world.

Savoca is a small village in the province of Messina and has 1,750 inhabitants.

Included in the circuit of "The Most Beautiful Villages in Italy," it has also become famous for being the film set of some scenes from "The Godfather," the successful film by Francis Ford Coppola, shot in 1972 also in these villages.

The formation of the Alcantara riverbed dates back to about 300,000 years ago. These are gorges up to 25 meters high and, at their narrowest points, 2 meters wide and at their widest points 4-5 meters wide.

The peculiarity of this gorge lies in the structure of its walls, created by basaltic lava flows.

With its 3300 meters of height, it is the largest volcano in Europe and among the most active in the world.
Its surface is characterized by a rich variety of environments that alternate urban landscapes with dense forests or desolate areas covered by volcanic rock, periodically snow-capped.

Letojanni

It is clear to anyone visiting Forza d'Agrò for the first time that the love for a past rich in glory, history, culture, and tradition slows down the tendency toward frantic innovation.Like a balcony over the Ionian Sea, from the terrace of its viewpoint, you can admire the coast stretching from Messina to Syracuse, with Taormina and Castelmola, the bay of Giardini-Naxos, and the imposing Mount Etna.

Naxos was the first Greek colony in Sicily.

It was founded around 734 BC by the "Chalcidians of Chalkis" and the "Naxians", who came from the large island in the Aegean, from whom Naxos also took its name.

Included in the list of the most beautiful villages in Italy, the small town of Castelmola can only be reached via a winding yet fascinating road that climbs up the mountainside from Taormina and by a beautiful and ancient path, the “Via dei Saraceni,” characterized by lush spontaneous vegetation.

The seaside town of Letojanni is located in the center of a wide bay between the promontories of S. Alessio (Forza d'Agrò) and S. Andrea (Taormina)
The Ionian center is the first in Italy to be awarded the title "City of Flight." It all began with the spread first of hang gliders and then paragliders, as enthusiasts discovered that the Letojanni beach could serve as an ideal landing spot for two take-offs: one from Mount Venere in Castelmola and one from Gallodoro.
