Letojanni is an important touristic resort in Sicily, thanks to its beaches and its waterfront.The city also offers different tourist attractions.

In the central square Durante, stands the statue of Francis Durante,world-renowned surgeon and senator of the kingdom of Italy.Francis Durante was born in the village June 29,1844.

The bronze statue of the sculptor, Ettore Ximenes of Palermo,was inaugurated when the senator was still alive, May 23, 1923.

In honor of Francesco Durante,the department of surgical sciences at the University Hospital "Umberto l" of Rome,is now nameed after him.

The square is dominated by the parish church,dedicated to St.Joseph,patron saint of the town.The city square was solemnly inaugurated March 19, 1931 on the feast day of St. Joseph.
